Route Fifty Profiles Colorado DOT’s Use of Spike and Survey123 for Sign Inventory
Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) use of Spike with Esri’s Survey123 for ArcGIS mobile app was profiled in the publication Route Fifty. CDOT implemented Spike with Survey123 to collect and measure signs and other physical assets along state roadways.
This integrated solution eliminated the danger involved with the agencies’ employees working near traffic. According to CDOT and Esri, “every state has thousands of signs alone typically inventoried on paper, so Spike is optimizing planning and budgeting workflows while creating photo-verifiable records of assets.”
Route Fifty is a digital news publication from Atlantic Media’s Government Executive Media Group, which focus on technology and innovation at the state and local level.
