Equip yourself with a better understanding of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC®) in this one-hour webinar. It will address joint-use clearances, strength and loading issues, and clearances above ground.

IKE’s in-house NESC guru, Grant Glaus, and structural analysis expert, Malcolm Young, will delve into your questions, provide real-life examples of some of the most complex facets of the NESC, and offer insight on how to apply the standard in your day-to-day work.

During the webinar, you will learn:

  • Answers to frequently asked questions related to NESC rules, such as:
    • When measuring the height of a communication cable on a crossarm, where do you measure for clearance to power (the cable, the cable attachment, or the crossarm attachment)?
    • Is there a rule or best practice for adding an anchor/guy when a pole line varies from a straight line by a certain number of degrees?
    • What clearance does the NESC require over a body of water?
  • Key takeaways specific to electric utilities, communications companies, and engineering firms

This webinar is eligible for PDH or Continuing Education credit. To earn credit, you must attend the live webinar and complete the form we’ll provide at the end of the webinar.
